{"id":878,"date":"2023-12-15T17:32:41","date_gmt":"2023-12-15T17:32:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/abanotary.com\/blog\/?p=878"},"modified":"2023-12-15T17:32:59","modified_gmt":"2023-12-15T17:32:59","slug":"a-winter-reminder-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.abanotary.com\/blog\/a-winter-reminder-list\/","title":{"rendered":"A winter reminder list"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the temperatures begin to dip and become colder overnight, we wanted to send out just a few reminders and tips:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Be sure that you have your ice scraper \/ snow remover for your vehicle handy.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Remember to detach your hose from your outdoor spigot.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Cover your outdoor air conditioning units if they are not used for heat.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Be sure that your grill is away, and propane properly shut off.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Keep your shovels and any de-icer or snow salt in a handy spot.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Remember, if it does snow to keep your walkways and mailbox paths clear.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Should you have a drafty window, be sure to seal or secure it properly.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Be sure your gutters are clear and free of debris. Icicles are not only heavy, but dangerous too.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">If you have ceiling fans, reverse the speed so the warm air blows back down.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Properly stow or winterize your gas-powered equipment.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Hold off on the pruning! While it is tempting to cut back, unless absolutely needed, avoid cutting back tree branches &amp; shrubs.
