Early Spring Yard & House Work

You may not believe it by looking outside, but we are just a few weeks away from Spring. For many, this means Spring home preparation. Snow, ice, cold weather, road salt, and more begin to show the potential damage that was done. This means the exterior Spring checklist begins. We wanted to provide you with a short list of some things:

• Picking up sticks and fallen branches in your yard.
• Inspect your roof to ensure all shingles are intact.
• Be sure that your gutters & downspouts are secure and draining properly.
• Check your windows and doors for cracks or worn weather stripping.
• Turn on your outdoor spigots and check for any damage or leaks.
• It is a good time to inspect around your HVAC or outdoor unit and clear away any debris.
• Look over your driveway to ensure that there are no cracks or objects left from the winter.

These are just some of the exterior things in the coming weeks that many of us will be doing to ensure that our home and yard are ready for the Spring and possible rains.
